Boris Guina was born in 1959 in Zagreb. He graduated in painting at the University of East London in 1986. After his residence in Vienna (1992-93) he returned to Zagreb, where he participated in the local art scene, exhibiting and actively collaborating with galleries Zona and Canvas. In 2003 he received the international award Premio Lissone.
His works are in the collection of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb, Modern Gallery in Zagreb, Serafin Gallery in Vienna, Canvas Gallery (Zagreb), Zona Gallery (Zagreb), the collection of Zagrebačka banka, and in many private and public collections in Croatia and abroad.
He lives and works in Zagreb and Basel.
